This small Irish pub seems out of place where it’s located and you’ll walk right past it if you’re not paying attention. Once inside you can feel the history, so grab a pint at the circular bar and I hear the wings aren’t bad either.

The staff is incredibly friendly, attentive, and always ready with a smile or a great recommendation. The menu is fantastic—classic pub fare done exceptionally well. The burgers are juicy and flavorful, the fish and chips are perfectly crispy, and their selection of beers and cocktails is top-notch. Whether you’re grabbing a drink after work or enjoying a hearty meal with friends, every visit feels special. The vibe here is unbeatable. Cozy booths, great music, and a welcoming crowd create the perfect backdrop for a casual night out or celebrating a small occasion. PJ Carnegie Pub manages to capture the charm of an old-school pub while keeping things modern and fun. Hands down, this place deserves 5 stars. I can’t recommend it enough—NYC has a lot of pubs, but PJ Carnegie is one that truly stands out!
Stopped in for a drink after ice skating at Wollman Rink. Good Irish bar. But it is on the smaller side. I would not get the house red but the cocktails and Guiness were great. We needed a snack and got an order of fries. They were nice and crispy.
If I could leave more than 5 stars I would. Was here back in November, we popped in as we seen it while we were walking past. We ended up coming back 2 or 3 more times as we loved it. The chicken wings are some of the best we’ve ever had and as Irish people we can confidently say the Guinness is some of the best in NYC. Staff and service is exceptional. We will return in the future.
I concur with New Yorks friendliest pub. Try the Shepherds Pie you wont be disappointed.
Carney's was the highlight of my time in NYC. Great atmosphere. Fabulous food and drinks. And brilliant service. Annika and John are the BEST!!!! If you get the chance...have a visit! You'll be glad you did.
Small but fine pub. Food was good , location great. Clean facilities, very friendly staff. Definitely one of the better irish bars in the area. Happy hour until 4, around 6 Dollar for pint or wine.
